Product Owner

We are a well-funded, fast growing, Australian tech business operating on the global stage with offices in Sydney and London. 

Big Picture is connecting the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is the underlying infrastructure that enables new models of collaborative, distributed and intelligent healthcare to be delivered, optimising patient outcomes and making smarter use of healthcare resources. 

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner who will work closely with our clinical, design and development teams to build and deliver cutting edge applications to completely change the delivery of healthcare globally. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds. 

The role will be based in London. Hybrid/remote work possible based in the UK. 

The Role. 

You will be primarily responsible for assessing, organizing, and prioritising workflows across our product pillars, consolidating all tasks into one true working backlog.  Working closely with the Product team in Australia to translate this into a Product Roadmap to be communicated back to the wider business.

As the Product Owner you will maximise the value of the product resulting from the work of the engineering team, utilising your extensive knowledge and experience in delivering successful digital products. You will be well versed in; gathering feature requests, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints in collaboration with the dedicated product focused scrum masters.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs, work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases, and have extensive experience rolling-out products that deliver our company’s vision.

  • Clearly communicating the Product Strategy to the engineering team;

  • Creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items with the team, ensuring that it is transparent, visible and understood by all;

  • Ordering/prioritising Product Backlog items in line with the Product Strategy;

  • Translating the Product Backlog into the Product Roadmap; and

  • Reporting on and updating the Product Board tool, to provide visibility of delivery and releases to the wider team and customers.

About You.

  • You have experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management

  • You have experience working in an agile environment

  • You have hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle with a particular focus on delivery and backlog management

  • You have a technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies

  • You have exceptional communication abilities

  • You have exceptional organizational skills

  • You are Curious

  • You are Autonomous

  • You are Passionate

  • You have experience in the Medical Product space (nice to have)

  • You have experience with SaaS companies (nice to have)

  • You have experience in start-up companies (nice to have)

  • You have had some exposure to (Hl7, FIHR, DICOM) (nice to have)
